    SSC :

    SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission.

    As you know SSC conducts many entrance examination for many different posts .

    Among the different exams LDC is one of the Examination.

    LDC stands for Lower Division Clerk.

    The Eligibility for this Examination is :

    Min Educational Qualification is Intermediate i.e 10+2 passed out.

    Your age must be in between 18 to 27 years only.

    Selection Procedure for LDC recruitment 2012 :

    LDC will conduct written examination for eligible students.

    If you have passed the examination will be called for personal interview.

    The written examination shall be objective in nature.

    Examination Pattern :





    The Syllabus for the Same Includes :


    (1)General Intelligence:

    It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type.

    The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory,discriminating observation, relationship concepts, verbal and figure classification,arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.

    The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

    (2)English Language:

    This Comprises vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc and your writing ability would also be tested.

    (3)Numerical Aptitude:

    This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs,Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

    (4)General Awareness:

    Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society.

    Also Questions related to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc.

    LDC are recruited in the:

    Government of India’s various offices,
    Secretariat,
    Parliament,
    Ministries,
    Commissions to positions.

    for ldc.... it is divided into 4 parts.. 1st maths 2nd english 3rd reasoning 4th gk. all contains 50 questions each questions contain equal marks means 200 ques and 200 marks... it will take 2 hours.. for getting selection in this exam for general candidate will have to get minimum 110 marks..

    Information about Syllabus for SSC Lower Division Clerk (10+2) examination 2012 :Before discussion of Syllabus of SSC Lower Division Clerk examination 2012 then you have to know complete details of eligibility criteria are following as :

    1) For Lower Division Clerk post you have to passed intermediate or 10+2 board examination and it is minimum educational qualification criteria .

    2) Your age limit should be in the range of 18 to 27 years if you want to get jobs for the post LDC .

    The syllabus for SSC lower division Clerk examination are classified into four categories :

    >>> English Language

    >>> Numerical Aptitude

    >>> General Intelligence

    >>> General Awareness

    For English Language you have to do special preparation and you have to do practice on subjects like Synonyms ,Direct and Indirect narration ,Improvement of sentences ,Active voice of verb and Comprehension passage .

    But in case of Numerical Aptitude you have to prepare a Algebra ,Geometry and Trigonometry .This helping to get selection in SSC lower division Clerk examination and for this particular section written practice is required .

    In General Intelligence section you should have proper analysis of topics like Drawing interference ,Figure pattern ,Problem solving and Numerical Operation .To solving this section critical thinking is required .

    In case of General Awareness Section more practice are required and test includes questions from Indian Country and neigbouring countries .Mainly General knowledge is required to crack this section .

    Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam or LDC& DEO recruitment is conducted by SSC once in every year..

    This year it is going to be on 21.10.2012(Sunday) & 28.10.2012(Sunday)..
    Notification for the same will be published on 14.07.2012 and last date of application will be 10.08.2012..

    Eligibility is Passed in Higher Secondary examination from a recognised board.

    Age should be between 18-27 years( relaxation for eligible categories applicable)

    -mains (400 marks)
    -interview(200 marks)

    syllabus for preparing exam.(200 marks)
    -general knowledge
    -history ,geography,economy,Indian politics,general science.

    -English
    error finding,comprehension para, synonyms and antonyms, fill ups, completed the sentence.

    -reasoning
    coding and decoding,age relaxation, blood relation finding,analysis,time finding,number searching,visual classification,

    -arithmetic
    number system,cube roots ,square roots,partnership, discount,interest,simple interest,age relation.fraction,algebra,geometric,statistics, average , profit and loss,shares and debenture graphs,speed and time ,work and distance etc.

    Deo - data entry operator

    ldc - lower divisional clerk.

    Educational qualification : 10+2 or its equivalent three years diploma in any stream.

    Age limit : 18-27 years

    age relaxation is provided to some reserved categories & ex-servicemen.

    Hi Aspirant,


    The post of LDC ( Lower Division Clerk) recruited by SSC through CHSL ( Combined Higher Secondary Level) exam.


    You can also apply for DEO ( Data Entry Post ) as well as LDC. Both post comes under CHSL exam.




    Eligibility for CHSL exam

    You should be declared Intermediate passed from recognized board

    Age should be 18 to 27 years.

    You should be Indian, Nepal or Bhutan.


    Syllabus of CHSL exam

    GS (50 mark)
