There is no sectional cut off in ssc till now..

we cant expect the cut off of cgl.........

cut off depends on the performance of candidates and no of vacancy.........

Staff Selection Commission is going to conduct Combined Graduate Level Examination 2012 in July 2012.

Cutoff marks are decided by SSC , depending on No. of posts available,Marks obtained by Candidates Maximum, No. of candidates applied for the post etc.

Every year it is different.If you secure around 60% in Gen. Category,you can clear the CGL Tier-I Examination.

Cut off for any subject cant be predicted now, but it depends on toughness of the exam, number of candidates appearing, their performance etc.. So SSC after seeing the performance of candidates only, will fix the minimum qualifying mark.. Regarding section wise cut off, nobody has a clear picture of it but from my observation of mark lists published last time, candidates with less than 10 marks(out of 50) in any of the sections, havent cleared.. You can also check the same in the marks published for CGLE 2011..


What my suggestion is that, don't completely rely on any section of the paper but, make sure that you are getting bare minimum to get through all sections while scoring the maximum in your strong areas...

each subject cutoff marks for sc students iss...approx 16 marks,means total is 64 marks........but score highhh.... becz....tier 1 marks will add to tier 2...for the interviw call....tier 1+tier 2=interview.......
and total cut of for sc students is...285 marks..all d best guyss...

Hi friend,

SSC CGL is a central level exam.

So, the questions of CGL comes very tough.

The question paper of CGL contains four subjects. They are Math, English,Reasoning and GK.

Each section contains 50 marks for 50 questions.

There is "- marking" system for each wrong answer and that is 0.25.

The total qualifying mark depends upon the question and the result of the candidate.

If the question will come very tough, then obviously the qualifying mark will be low.

The cut off mark will different for different category.

So, don't be worry about it.

Only practice carefully. You must dissolve the best.

Friend SSC CGL exam is not conducted till now.

It is going to be held on 1/7/2012 & 8/7/2012.

So it is very difficult to say about the cut off marks of future exam.

I think you want to know the cut off marks of 2011 exam.

The cutoff of SSC CGL TIRE1 exam is varied from time to time.
It's depends upon various condition like

• Number of candidate appeared in the exam.
  
• Toughness of the question .
  
• Number of vacancies .

Previous years cutoff Marks of SSC CGL is

• For sc 63.50
  
• For st 63.25
  
• For gen 85.50
  
• For obc 70.50

Expected cutoff for 2012 is same as previous year/not much change of cutoff in this years.

and the answer key will released on 15th july

In this time ssc has sectional cut off or overall cut off in cgl2012 pre exam.

Friend, SSC has its discretion to prepare the merit list either on overall cut off or on sectional cut off. SSC has clearly mentioned in the advertisement notification that SSC has its discretion to fix minimum qualifying marks for every section for each and every category.

So it depends upon the SSC whether they opt the sectional cut off or not. What would be the minimum qualifying marks in section, will purely depends upon SSC's discretion.
